Working the crowd into a frenzy was effortless for the young men aged between 18 and 21 who also threw in stunts during their routines while belting out a set of nearly 30 songs.
The concert cost some S$1.7 million to stage and no wonder – with the WOW factor from snazzy laser beams and the generous use of indoor fireworks and pyrotechnics for the visual effects .
Yes, there were over the top moments, but no one can really complain at seeing angels floating around, least of all when the angels were members of SHINee members in flowing white robes and feathered wings defying gravity in mid-air as they performed "Lullaby".
On the other end of the scale, there was the devilish but cool claws that X-men's Wolverine would definitely like to get a set of, as the spiky hand accessory shoots laser beams that hypnotised with the breath-taking lighting effect.
But the concert wasn't just random stunts and visual theatrics.
SHINee's Jonghyun and Onew did offer an impressive vocal range with their rendition of "Lost Love" and Turandot's "Nessun Dorma" in their respective solo segments – not bad for manufactured singing idols.
Scoring the loudest screams during his solo stint was Minho, but only when the 19-year-old buttoned down to show off his newly-acquired abs!
And in what has started to become a standard in K-pop concerts – boyband members who cross-dress to raise a giggle (we hope!).
Delivering the number "My First Kiss" with Key, it was mini-skirts and long blonde tresses for Taemin, to the laughter and cheers of fans.
The show flowed seamlessly with a mix of mid-tempo and energetic numbers such as "Not Without You" and "Love Like Oxygen" before the group pushed the audience to a fever pitch with crowd favourites "Ring Ding Dong" and "Lucifer".
Fans who stayed frenetic throughout, chanting the lyrics and swinging their aqua green glow sticks to the bass-thumping beats were rewarded with a 3-song encore as they chased each other around the extended stage, splashing each other with water.
"We are playing with water because it's a hot day today," said SHINee who had a brief exchange with fans during the concert.
"We are really happy to perform for so many Singapore fans. We had lots of fun today, did you enjoy it?" asked SHINee through a translator.
It was a resounding "Yes!" in unison by all 6,000 fans.
Although total talk time clocked – including their hellos at the beginning of the show - was just some three minutes, SHINee did make it a point to use non-verbal communication with their fans.
With arms interlocked, they gave deep thank-you bows and blew goodbye kisses to fans from each corner of before exiting the stage with the statement "Thank you so much for your love".
And the fans made sure that SHINee knew that the feelings were mutual.
